This Event Cancellation & Force Majeure Policy (“Event Cancellation Policy”) explains Trepy’s general approach relating to:
- canceled events;
- postponed events;
- rescheduled events;
- interrupted events;
- livestream interruptions;
- force majeure events;
- emergency disruptions;
- event-related operational interruptions.

By purchasing, managing, organizing, promoting, attending, livestreaming, or participating in events through Trepy, you agree to this Event Cancellation Policy.
NOTE: THIS AGREEMENT CONTAINS ARBITRATION, INDEMNIFICATION, AND CLASS ACTION WAIVER CLAUSES

By Agreeing to this Agreement, you are agreeing to all of the forgoing policies and terms.
1. TREPY’S ROLE
Trepy provides technology infrastructure and operational tools that may assist with:
- event publishing;
- ticketing;
- seating management;
- livestream access;
- communications;
- check-in systems;
- payment workflows;
- audience engagement.
Except where expressly stated otherwise, Trepy is generally not:
- the organizer of events;
- the operator of venues;
- the producer of performances;
- responsible for event operations;
- responsible for performer participation;
- responsible for venue conditions.
Organizers remain solely responsible for event operations, decisions, communications, and compliance obligations.
2. EVENT CHANGES
Events may be:
- canceled;
- postponed;
- rescheduled;
- interrupted;
- delayed;
- modified;
- relocated;
- reformatted;
- converted to virtual formats.
Changes may occur for reasons including:
- weather;
- venue issues;
- performer illness;
- safety concerns;
- technical failures;
- staffing issues;
- governmental restrictions;
- force majeure events;
- operational considerations.
Trepy does not guarantee that events will occur as originally scheduled or described.
3. ORGANIZER RESPONSIBILITY
Organizers are independently responsible for:
- cancellation decisions;
- postponement decisions;
- event modifications;
- refund decisions where applicable;
- attendee communications;
- venue coordination;
- safety decisions;
- operational management.
Trepy does not control independent Organizer decisions.
Trepy is not responsible for:
- Organizer negligence;
- performer conduct;
- venue conduct;
- operational failures;
- event quality;
- attendee satisfaction.
4. FORCE MAJEURE EVENTS
Trepy, Organizers, Sellers, venues, performers, and related parties may be affected by events beyond reasonable control (“Force Majeure Events”).
Force Majeure Events may include:
- severe weather;
- natural disasters;
- flooding;
- hurricanes;
- tornadoes;
- earthquakes;
- fires;
- pandemics;
- epidemics;
- governmental actions;
- public health emergencies;
- terrorism;
- civil unrest;
- labor disputes;
- internet outages;
- infrastructure failures;
- cyberattacks;
- utility outages;
- transportation disruptions;
- venue failures;
- performer illness;
- security threats.
Trepy shall not be liable for delays, interruptions, cancellations, or operational failures caused by Force Majeure Events.
5. REFUNDS FOR CANCELED EVENTS
Refund eligibility may depend on:
- Organizer policies;
- applicable law;
- payment processor requirements;
- event-specific terms;
- operational circumstances.
Unless otherwise required by law:
- convenience fees may be non-refundable;
- processing fees may be non-refundable;
- partially completed events may not qualify for refunds;
- livestream interruptions may not automatically qualify for refunds.
Trepy may facilitate operational processing of approved refunds where authorized.
Trepy does not guarantee refund approval.
6. POSTPONED OR RESCHEDULED EVENTS
Where events are postponed or rescheduled:
- tickets may remain valid for the new date;
- replacement access may be provided;
- refund eligibility may vary;
- livestream access terms may change.
Users are responsible for reviewing updated event communications and policies.
Trepy does not guarantee refunds solely because users cannot attend rescheduled events unless required by applicable law.
7. LIVESTREAM INTERRUPTIONS
Livestream or virtual events may experience:
- buffering;
- latency;
- outages;
- interruptions;
- reduced quality;
- replay restrictions;
- technical limitations.
Trepy does not guarantee:
- uninterrupted streaming;
- uninterrupted replay access;
- uninterrupted communications;
- compatibility across all devices.
Temporary interruptions or technical issues do not automatically qualify for refunds unless required by law.
8. VENUE CONDITIONS AND SAFETY
Venues and Organizers remain independently responsible for:
- venue operations;
- crowd management;
- emergency planning;
- accessibility accommodations;
- attendee safety;
- security staffing.
Trepy is not responsible for:
- venue conditions;
- injuries;
- crowd incidents;
- parking issues;
- accessibility disputes;
- security failures;
- venue negligence.
Attendees participate in events at their own risk.
9. COMMUNICATIONS REGARDING EVENT CHANGES
Trepy or Organizers may provide event updates through:
- email;
- SMS;
- in-app notifications;
- event pages;
- platform communications.
Trepy does not guarantee delivery of communications.
Users remain responsible for:
- maintaining accurate contact information;
- monitoring event updates;
- reviewing Organizer communications.
10. THIRD-PARTY PROVIDERS
Trepy relies on third-party providers and infrastructure.
These may include:
- Stripe;
- Twilio;
- Mux;
- cloud infrastructure providers;
- communications providers;
- hosting providers.
Trepy is not responsible for:
- provider outages;
- payment interruptions;
- livestream infrastructure failures;
- communications failures;
- third-party operational disruptions.
11. TRAVEL, LODGING, AND INCIDENTAL EXPENSES
Trepy is not responsible for:
- travel expenses;
- airfare;
- lodging expenses;
- transportation costs;
- parking expenses;
- lost wages;
- incidental costs;
- consequential losses arising from event changes or cancellations.
Users assume risks associated with travel and event attendance.
Trepy encourages users to consider appropriate travel protections or insurance where desired.
12. ACCESSIBILITY DURING EVENT CHANGES
Organizers remain independently responsible for:
- accessibility accommodations;
- accessibility communications;
- venue accessibility;
- accommodation coordination.
Trepy provides technology infrastructure only.
Trepy does not guarantee uninterrupted accessibility accommodations during emergencies or operational disruptions.
13. EVENT TERMINATION FOR SAFETY OR COMPLIANCE
Trepy or Organizers may suspend, interrupt, postpone, or terminate events where reasonably necessary relating to:
- safety concerns;
- fraud concerns;
- legal obligations;
- infrastructure threats;
- operational risks;
- platform abuse;
- security concerns;
- intellectual property concerns.
Trepy reserves broad discretion regarding platform-level operational protections.
14. NO GUARANTEE OF EVENT AVAILABILITY
Trepy does not guarantee:
- event occurrence;
- performer participation;
- venue availability;
- uninterrupted livestream access;
- uninterrupted communications;
- uninterrupted ticketing systems;
- uninterrupted platform functionality.
Operational conditions may change unexpectedly.
15. DISCLAIMERS
THE PLATFORM AND EVENT-RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”
Trepy does not guarantee:
- uninterrupted events;
- uninterrupted livestreams;
- uninterrupted ticketing;
- uninterrupted communications;
- uninterrupted replay access;
- uninterrupted payment processing.
Trepy is not responsible for:
- Organizer conduct;
- venue conduct;
- performer conduct;
- weather-related disruptions;
- Force Majeure Events;
- infrastructure failures;
- third-party outages;
- attendee disputes.
Users participate in events at their own risk.
16. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TREPY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- canceled events;
- postponed events;
- interrupted events;
- livestream interruptions;
- venue closures;
- performer cancellations;
- travel losses;
- lodging losses;
- lost profits;
- reputational harm;
- indirect damages;
- incidental damages;
- consequential damages;
- punitive damages.
Trepy’s aggregate liability relating to event disruptions shall not exceed the greater of:
- amounts paid directly to Trepy during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim; or
- one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Certain jurisdictions may not allow some limitations.
17. INDEMNIFICATION
Users, Organizers, Sellers, Treps, and commercial users agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Trepy and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, and partners from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses arising from:
- event cancellations;
- event postponements;
- venue disputes;
- livestream interruptions;
- attendee disputes;
- refund disputes;
- Force Majeure Events;
- Organizer conduct;
- violations of law;
- violations of this Event Cancellation Policy.
18. GOVERNING LAW
This Event Cancellation Policy shall be governed by the laws of the State of Georgia without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
The Federal Arbitration Act governs interpretation and enforcement of arbitration provisions.
19. BINDING ARBITRATION
Except where prohibited by law, disputes arising out of or relating to event cancellations, postponements, livestream interruptions, refunds, Force Majeure Events, or related platform activity shall be resolved exclusively through final and binding individual arbitration.
The arbitration agreement is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.
Either party may seek temporary injunctive relief where reasonably necessary.
20. CLASS ACTION WAIVER
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- claims may only be brought individually;
- class actions are waived;
- representative proceedings are waived;
- collective proceedings are waived;
- consolidated proceedings are waived.
The arbitrator may not consolidate claims or preside over representative proceedings.
21. MODIFICATIONS TO THIS POLICY
Trepy may update this Event Cancellation Policy from time to time.
Updated versions may be posted through the platform.
Continued use of Trepy after updates may constitute acceptance of revised terms.
