These Messaging Terms supplement the:
- Trepy Terms of Service

- any applicable event or organization policies
By opting into, using, or interacting with Trepy messaging services, you agree to these Messaging Terms.
If you do not agree, do not opt into or use SMS or messaging functionality.

Trepy provides messaging functionality to support communication between:
- Users
- organizations
- Treps
- event operators
- instructors
- presenters
- hosts
- performers
- administrators
- platform participants
Messaging functionality may include:
- SMS/text messages
- in-app notifications
- transactional notifications
- event reminders
- operational alerts
- authentication messages
- ticket confirmations
- ticket updates
- event changes
- livestream notices
- organizational announcements
- account notifications
- security notifications
Trepy messaging functionality may be provided directly by Trepy or through third-party messaging providers.
2. CONSENT TO RECEIVE MESSAGES
By providing your mobile phone number and opting into messaging functionality, you expressly consent to receive communications from:
- Trepy;
- organizations using Trepy;
- Treps;
- event operators;
- authorized sub-admins;
- platform representatives.
Communications may include:
- transactional messages;
- informational messages;
- operational messages;
- account-related messages;
- event-related communications;
- authentication or security messages;
- customer support communications.
Consent to receive messages is not a condition of purchasing goods or services unless otherwise permitted by law.
You represent and warrant that:
- you are the authorized subscriber or customary user of the phone number provided;
- you have authority to consent to receive messages at that number;
- your information is accurate and current.
3. MESSAGE FREQUENCY
Message frequency may vary depending on:
- account activity;
- event participation;
- ticket purchases;
- organizational activity;
- communication preferences;
- authentication activity;
- platform usage.
Trepy does not guarantee any minimum or maximum number of messages.
4. MESSAGE AND DATA RATES
Message and data rates may apply.
Your wireless carrier may charge fees relating to:
- SMS messages;
- MMS messages;
- data usage;
- roaming charges;
- wireless access.
Trepy is not responsible for carrier charges, fees, or billing practices.
Please contact your wireless carrier for details regarding your messaging plan.
5. TYPES OF MESSAGES
Messaging through Trepy may include:

- ticket confirmations;
- receipts;
- authentication messages;

These messages may be considered essential to platform functionality.
B. Informational Messages
Examples include:

- livestream notices;
- operational announcements;
- organization updates;
- event instructions.
C. Promotional or Engagement Messages
Organizations or Treps may use Trepy messaging functionality to communicate:
- promotions;
- engagement updates;
- upcoming events;
- announcements;
- organizational information.
Organizations and Treps are independently responsible for ensuring lawful messaging practices.
6. OPTING OUT
You may opt out of SMS communications where supported by:
- replying STOP;
- adjusting account preferences;
- using available unsubscribe tools;
- contacting the applicable organization where appropriate.
After opting out:
- you may continue receiving limited transactional or legally required messages where permitted by law;
- processing delays may occur;
- certain platform functionality may be limited.
Supported opt-out keywords may include:
- STOP
- END
- CANCEL
- UNSUBSCRIBE
- QUIT
Supported commands may vary.
Trepy does not guarantee that all messaging programs or organizations use identical opt-out workflows.
7. HELP AND SUPPORT
Where supported, users may receive assistance by:
- replying HELP;
- accessing account settings;
- contacting support;
- contacting the organization or Trep involved.
Support availability may vary.
8. CARRIER PARTICIPATION
Messaging services may not be available through all wireless carriers.
Participating carriers may change over time.
Wireless carriers:
- are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages;
- do not guarantee delivery;
- do not endorse Trepy.
Trepy is not responsible for:
- carrier outages;
- carrier filtering;
- carrier blocking;
- roaming restrictions;
- device limitations;
- unsupported devices.
9. MESSAGE DELIVERY DISCLAIMERS
Trepy does not guarantee:
- message delivery;
- delivery timing;
- message sequencing;
- uninterrupted messaging functionality;
- compatibility with all devices or carriers.
Messages may be delayed or fail due to:
- wireless network limitations;
- internet interruptions;
- carrier filtering;
- platform maintenance;
- infrastructure outages;
- third-party provider issues;
- unsupported devices.
Trepy shall not be liable for delayed, blocked, misdirected, or undelivered messages.
10. COMMUNICATION PREFERENCES
Users may manage communication preferences where functionality is available.
Trepy may continue sending certain communications necessary for:
- security;
- authentication;
- transactions;
- legal compliance;
- operational integrity;
- account administration.
Users are responsible for maintaining accurate contact information.
11. ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITY
Organizations, Treps, and sub-admins using messaging functionality are independently responsible for:
- obtaining required consent;
- complying with the TCPA and similar laws;
- complying with carrier rules;
- complying with Twilio or other provider policies;
- ensuring lawful messaging practices;
- maintaining lawful contact lists;
- honoring opt-out requests;
- complying with anti-spam requirements;
- ensuring lawful marketing practices.
Trepy does not independently verify:
- consent obtained by organizations;
- legality of messaging campaigns;
- legality of organizational communications.
Trepy reserves the right to:
- monitor messaging activity;
- investigate abuse;
- restrict campaigns;
- suspend messaging access;
- terminate messaging privileges.
12. PROHIBITED MESSAGING ACTIVITIES
Users, organizations, and Treps may not use Trepy messaging systems for:
- spam;
- phishing;
- deceptive practices;
- unlawful solicitation;
- unlawful marketing;
- harassment;
- abusive communications;
- illegal products or services;
- prohibited gambling;
- unlawful financial schemes;
- adult exploitation;
- hate or violent extremism;
- malware distribution;
- unauthorized data collection;
- unlawful political messaging where prohibited;
- communications violating carrier requirements.
Trepy reserves the right to investigate and take enforcement action relating to prohibited conduct.
13. THIRD-PARTY MESSAGING PROVIDERS
Trepy may use third-party providers including:
- Twilio;
- wireless carriers;
- cloud communication providers;
- messaging infrastructure providers.
These providers operate under their own:
- terms;
- acceptable use policies;
- privacy policies;
- carrier obligations.
Users acknowledge that messaging functionality depends on third-party infrastructure.
Trepy is not responsible for:
- third-party outages;
- provider restrictions;
- carrier decisions;
- filtering decisions;
- third-party compliance actions.

- event-related communications.
Trepy does not sell personal information to third-party data brokers.
Messaging data may be processed through third-party infrastructure providers.
15. SECURITY MESSAGES AND AUTHENTICATION
Trepy may send:
- authentication codes;
- verification codes;
- login alerts;
- security notifications.
Users are responsible for:
- protecting devices;
- securing phone access;
- safeguarding authentication codes;
- reporting unauthorized access.
Trepy is not responsible for unauthorized access caused by:
- compromised devices;
- SIM swaps;
- carrier compromises;
- user negligence;
- shared devices.
16. AGE RESTRICTIONS
Users may not use messaging functionality in violation of applicable age-related laws.
Organizations using Trepy are independently responsible for obtaining parental consent or complying with youth-related regulations where required.
17. MODIFICATIONS TO MESSAGING SERVICES
Trepy may:
- modify messaging functionality;
- suspend messaging services;
- discontinue messaging features;
- change providers;
- impose limits;
- update supported communication methods.
Trepy does not guarantee continued availability of any specific messaging functionality.
18. DISCLAIMERS
MESSAGING SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TREPY DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES RELATING TO:
- message delivery;
- delivery timing;
- uninterrupted messaging;
- carrier compatibility;
- communication reliability;
- provider availability.
Trepy is not responsible for:
- carrier delays;
- wireless interruptions;
- unsupported devices;
- provider outages;
- organizational misuse of messaging systems;
- failed or delayed communications.
19. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TREPY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- delayed messages;
- undelivered messages;
- communication interruptions;
- carrier failures;
- data loss;
- indirect damages;
- incidental damages;
- consequential damages;
- punitive damages;
- lost profits;
- reputational harm.
Certain jurisdictions may not allow some limitations.
20. ARBITRATION AND CLASS ACTION WAIVER
These Messaging Terms are subject to the arbitration and class action waiver provisions contained in the Trepy Terms of Service.
By using messaging functionality, you agree that disputes relating to messaging services shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.
You further agree to waive participation in:
- class actions;
- representative actions;
- collective proceedings;
- consolidated actions.
21. GOVERNING LAW
These Messaging Terms shall be governed by the laws identified in the Trepy Terms of Service.
22. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
Trepy may update these Messaging Terms from time to time.
Updated versions may be posted through the platform.
Continued use of messaging functionality after updates may constitute acceptance of revised terms.
